Päiväkirjaa kirjoitan siis minä, kiertuebändin karvanaamainen kitaristi Jussi.
Kiertueen alkuun on aikaa pari viikkoa, joten lienee otollinen aika avata päiväkirjan ensimmäinen sivu.
Innostunut kutina jalkapohjissa on jo havaittavissa (vai pitäisiköhän vaihtaa sukat...) kun katselee omaa check-listiä asioista mitkä pitää tehdä ennen kuin bandwagon starttaa ensimmäiselle keikalle. Tässä ollaan kuitenkin oikeiden asioiden äärellä kun elävät ihmiset toteuttavat elävää musiikkia elävälle yleisölle. Hyvässä bändissä soittaminen on siistein juttu maailmassa. Uskokaa pois.
Ihan alkuun lienee hyvä hiukan esitellä henkilöitä, niin pysytte paremmin mukana tarinan juonessa. Porukka on nykyisen tiedon mukaan sama kuin edellisellä kierroksella, eli:
- Aholan Jarkko, solistimme. Tämä on siis se mies jonka kuva on julisteissa. Sähäkkä kaveri, jonka ajatus ja sijainti liikkuu välillä siihen tahtiin, että turvavyöt on syytä muistaa.
- Mäkelän Antti, rumpali ja visionääri. Keikkabussifilosofian huippuammattilainen ja vaihtoehtoisten näkökulmien ehtymätön lähde. Toimii taustakuoromme toisena äänenjohtajana.
- Laitisen Jamo, linjakas basistimme. Mäkelän bestis, niin lavalla, kuin sen ulkopuolellakin. Taustakuoron toinen äänenjohtaja.
- Hakulisen Antti, kosketinvelho. Bändin nuoriso-osaston (80-luvulla syntyneet) toinen jäsen. Sanan "pokka" kävelevä ilmentymä.
- Salosen Manu, etupäässä äänimies. Hoitaa lavalla olevien äänilähteiden tuotosten sekoittamisen keskenään ja bandwagonin siirtämisen paikasta toiseen.Veikkaan, että kyseessä on T-1000:n siviilimalli.
- Tuomisen Erkki, valon antaja. Mies, joka valaisee ja säteilyttää meidät kuorma-autollisella ihmeellisiä laitteita.
- Salosen Juha, lavakäsi. Hoitaa asiat x, y ja z, täsmällisesti ja checklistinsä mukaan. Termin "supersymppis" kävelevä määritelmä. Huonolla tuulella ollessaankin ihkumpi kuin useimmat parhaimmillaan.
- Minni, The Manager. Pitää huolen siitä, että kaikilla on optimaaliset olosuhteet tehdä oma osuutensa. Käytännössä sen huomaa siitä, että on ruokaa, juomaa, aikataulut järjestyksessä ja perkolaattori pöhisee.
- Kaakkolammin Jussi, kitaristi ja wannabe-kirjailija. Parantumaton kitarakamahiplaaja ja maineikkaan oranssin työkalupakin ylläpitäjä. Bändin nuoriso-osaston toinen jäsen.
Alapalkissa on alati päivittyvä soittolista, jonne lisäilen kiertueen aikana syystä tai toisesta porukassamme ajankohtaisiksi muodostuneita musiikkikappaleita.

"YAY, WE HAVE A BAND!
Hi everyone and welcome to follow the logbook of the My Way tour!
The diary is written by me, Jussi the hairy-faced guitarist.
The tour starts in a couple of weeks, so it’s probably a propitious time to open the diary’s first page.
The itching of excitement in the soles of my feet is already noticeable (or should I maybe change my socks…) when I look at the checklist of things that must be done before the bandwagon heads to the first gig. We’re talking about real things here, when live people bring live music to a live audience. Playing in a good band is the coolest thing in the world. Believe me.
It would be good to introduce people briefly right in the beginning, so it’s easier for you to follow the plot of the story. According to the current understanding, the gang is the same as in the previous tour, that is:
- Ahola, Jarkko: our soloist. This is the man that appears in the poster. Flashy buddy whose thought and location move at such speed that seat belts should be considered.
- Mäkelä, Antti: drummer and visionary. A total pro in tourbus philosophy and an exhaustless source of alternative points of view. Functions as conductor of our backup choir.
- Laitinen, Jamo: our streamlined bassist. Mäkelä’s best friend, both on and off stage. The other conductor of the backup choir.
- Hakulinen, Antti: keyboard wizard. Member of the band’s youth department (born in the 80s). Walking expression of the word “poker face”.
- Salonen, Manu: the sound guy at the front-of-house. Takes care of mixing the stage audio output sources and moves the bandwagon from place to place. I bet he’s the civilian model of T-1000.
- Tuominen, Erkki: light giver. The man who illuminates us and radiates us with the wondrous equipment in the truckload.
- Salonen, Juha: stage aid. Takes care of x, y and z accurately and following his checklist. Walking definition of the term “supernice”. His bad mood is nicer than most of others’ best mood.
- Minni: The Manager. Makes sure that everyone is in the optimal conditions to do their part. In practice, she takes care that there is food, drink, that schedules are in order, and that the percolator boils.
- Kaakkolammi, Jussi: guitarist and wannabe writer. Incurable guitar junky and bearer of the prestigious orange toolbox. The other member of the band’s youth department.
In the taskbar there is a setlist subject to constant change, and to it we’ll be adding pieces of music that for one reason or another become topical in our gang.
